AGS Airports
Lion & Gazelle worked with AGS Airports to develop a risk management app that would transform the way they managed risk across the business. With three airports owned by the group, risk management was especially complicated – but vitally important. Dangerous live environments, high footfall, and numerous third parties at work meant that the business needed to improve its processes to more proactively and effectively manage down risk. Replacing a system based on legacy spreadsheets, the new app collects data from every touchpoint across all three airports and collates it into a series of reports tailored to various levels of senior management. Against each risk, the app lists resultant consequences, as well as a list of mitigations which are balanced against key business objectives, such as Customer Satisfaction, Safety, and Service Provision. Each risk is then scored across several business areas: Health & Safety, Security, Environment, Reputational Damage, Regulatory Compliance, Operational, and Financial & Commercial. The app then aggregates a score for each airport, department, and service area – giving Risk Managers a clear picture of risk across the business. What have AGS Airports gained from the app? In over two years of use, and one year of testing, the efficiency of the operation has vastly improved – as has the accuracy and accessibility of information. Workflows and prompts encourage the timelier input of data and active ownership of responsibilities.
